HC Deb 05 February 1988 vol 126 c801W
Mr. Dykes

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will consider addressing a meeting of chairmen of district health authorities in England and Wales to discuss current problems affecting the National Health Service.

Mrs. Currie

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State regular meets the chairmen of regional health authorities. They, in turn, are in close contact with their district health authority chairmen, whose views can thereby be conveyed to Ministers. In addition, I and my ministerial colleagues attend meetings of district chairmen with their regional chairman in the regions whenever possible.
