§ 36. Mr. Vaz
To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied with the contribution to training made by the non-statutory training boards.

§ Mr. Nicholls
I believe that research currently being completed will show that the majority of non-statutory training organisations are effective in their role of improving their industry's training arrangements. The Manpower Services Commission is continuing to work to strengthen those organisations which are less effective.
