To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what are the latest financial targets for the Central Electricity Generating Board.

§ Mr. Michael Spicer
The latest financial target agreed for the Central Electricity Generating Board is to earn a return on average net assets on a current cost accounting basis of 3.75 per cent. in 1988–89 and 4.75 per cent. in 1989–90.
