To ask the Secretary of State for Employment when he will next meet the chairman of the Confederation of British Industry to discuss training issues.

Mr. Cope

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State often meets the president and director-general of the Confederation of British Industry to discuss issues including training and receives advice on training from the Manpower Services Commission on which the CBI is represented.
