§ Mr. MaddenTo ask the Attorney-General what direction in respect of prosecution the Director of Public Prosecutions (Northern Ireland) has issued in respect of an officer in the Royal Ulster Constabulary and other persons in Belfast against whom allegations were made by Mr. Chan Hok-Chun and Mr. Hui Yat-Chi; and if he will make a statement.
§ The Attorney-GeneralAn investigation has been carried out by the Royal Ulster Constabulary with regard to complaints made by Mr. Holc-Chun and Mr. Hui Yat-Chi.
The results of these investigations were reported to the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland who, having considered all the facts and circumstances reported to him, issued a direction of no prosecution. This direction was issued on 6 January 1988.
