To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will clarify his Department's press release of 19 October about benefits for homeless people on guidance which could draw attention to the power to pay some benefit in the first week of a claim, including a full week's board and lodging payment if this falls due during the period covered; and if he will make a statement.
