§ Mr. CohenTo ask the Attorney-General if he will set out(a) the connections with (i) Leyton and (ii) Waltham Forest, (b) race, colour or ethnic origin, (c) business or public service background and (d) qualifications of each member of (1) the North East London area advisory committee and (2) the Waltham Forest division sub-committee on the appointment of justices of the peace.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Lord Chancellor and the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster have decided that the names of members of advisory committees on the appointment of justices of the peace are to be disclosed and that this is to apply to all advisory committees no later than 1992. The north-east London advisory committee has already disclosed its names and these have been given to the hon. Member. It would not be appropriate for the Lord Chancellor to disclose other information about individual members. In any event, the committee is in the process of reconstitution.
