HL Deb 08 December 1988 vol 502 c753WA
Viscount Dilhorne

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What consultations are proposed with interested parties as part of the implementation work on tenants' choice.

The Earl of Caithness

When the Housing Act was in Parliament, we undertook to invite views on how tenants should be consulted and vote on a tenant's choice application, and on the terms on which flats should be leased back to a public sector body after any transfer. We have now issued two consultation papers, which set out the Government's proposals on these matters. They are being circulated to interested parties with a request for comments by 20th January 1989. Copies are available in the Library.
