To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he last met the chairman of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities and what subjects were discussed.

My right hon. and learned Friend last met the chairman and other representatives of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities formally on 4 December 1987 when he discussed the rate support grant settlement for 1988–89 and related matters.
