HC Deb 26 April 1988 vol 132 c115W
Mr. Robertson

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information is being made publicly available by Her Majesty's Government on protection and decontamination equipment for those affected by chemical weapon attacks in northern Iraq.

Mr. Mellor

It is not our practice to make such information available publicly. Information or equipment suitable for protection or decontamination is available from commercial sources although the supply of any such equipment from the United Kingdom to Iran or Iraq would be subject to export control. With our agreement a number of chemical weapon victims have received private medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
