§ Mr. WallerTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he now expects construction work to be completed on stages 1 and 2 of the A629-A650 Airedale route.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe terms of the contracts provide for works to be completed on stage 1 in September this year and stage 2 in January 1989. Good progress is being made. I hope that the roads will be open to traffic in advance of these dates. It is too early yet to give firm opening dates.
