§ 42. Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will undertake a comparative survey of the scientific equipment available in academic and academically related research in the United Kingdom and other industrial countries.
Mr. JacksonThe Advisory Board for the Research Councils (ABRC) has commissioned a study of scientific equipment in United Kingdom higher education institutions. The board expects to advise my right hon. Friend about the outcome of the study, around the end of the year, taking into account such results as are available of similar studies in other countries.
