§ Mr. CousinsTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what liaison arrangements he has established between the Northern industrial development advisory board, the Tyneside city action team and the Tyne and Wear urban development corporation.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe main task of the North Eastern industrial development advisory board is to advise on applications for regional selective assistance under section 7 of the Industrial Development Act 1982 and on industrial opportunities in the region. The regional director attends the board and is also a member of the city action team. The city action team also works closely with the Tyne and Wear urban development corporation through a system of regular meetings.
