HC Deb 18 April 1988 vol 131 c370W
Mr. Latham

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether in view of the mislaying of the letter to him dated 15 March sent by the chief executive officer of the Rutland district council objecting to the British Railways (Luffenham) Level Crossing Order he will extend the consultation period to allow for these representations by the council to be properly considered by his Department.

Mr. David Mitchell

While I have still not received a letter from Rutland district council making representations about the Luffenham Level Crossing Order, a copy of the letter has now been obtained from my hon. Friend the Member for Rutland and Melton (Mr. Latham). The representations contained in the letter will be given full consideration if or when the British Railways Board officially applies for the order to be made.
