§ Mr. RentonFigures are available only for the whole of the United Kingdom. The annual totals for 1985 to 1987 were published on 17 March in table 14 of Home Office statistical bulletin "Control of Immigration : Statistics—Fourth Quarter and Year 1987" (issue 5/88), copies of which are in the Library. The figures for the first quarter of 1988 will be published in the next issue of the bulletin, in June.
