§ Mr. FreemanThe handling of military explosives is strictly regulated. Unit standing orders specify that no person under the influence of alcohol is to be allowed to enter ammunition storage or handling areas. The transportation of military explosives is also strictly regulated (Statutory Instrument 1977 No. 888—Conveyance by Road of Military Explosives Regulations 1977) and imposes similar restrictions in relation to vehicles.
