Ms. Harman

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many female sterilisations were performed in each regional health authority in England in each of the last five years; how many and what percentage were day cases; how many and what percentage were in conjunction with abortion; how many and what percentage were on medical grounds; and how many and what percentage were carried out (1) on the National Health Service (2) privately, and (3) as agency agreement.
