HC Deb 26 October 1987 vol 121 c49W
Dr. Godman

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are the capital costs of implementing the Falkland Islands fisheries zone in 1987.

Mr. Eggar

Capital costs incurred to date are approximately £210,000, of which the major elements have been purchase of a harbour patrol boat and communications equipment for the fisheries department in Port Stanley. Costs of implementation of the Falkland Islands conservation zone are estimated at approximately £4 million for a full 12 months.
