§ 55. Mr. Haynesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action he proposes to take on the United Nations General Assembly resolution on the Falklands.
§ Mr. EggarLast year's resolution, like previous resolutions since 1982, failed to take account of the Falkland Islanders' right to self-determination. In the event of a similar resolution being tabled this year, our position is unchanged. Sovereignty is not negotiable.
