§ Mrs. CurrieThe limiting factor in the expansion of kidney transplantation is not a shortage of facilities, but the availability of organs. We are constantly seeking to encourage organ donation through the donor card scheme and by supporting local initiatives. We are currently considering what action we should ask health authorities to take following a report on the supply of organs for transplantation, which was prepared at our request by the medical royal colleges.
