§ Mr. LeeAccording to English tourist board statistics, there are currently some 2,859 caravan sites in England compared with 2,279 at the beginning of 1983, the earliest date for which information is available. However, these figures may not reflect total site capacity and firm conclusions cannot be drawn about the number of new sites established.
