§ Mr. MoynihanMajor tidal systems on the Severn and Mersey estuaries are currently under investigation. Part of the costs of those studies, which include environmental assessment work, is being met by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy. Industrial or other development proposals on estuaries are primarily questions for the local planning authorities but, if the hon. Member has a particular problem in mind and will write to me giving details, I will look into it.
