HC Deb 04 November 1987 vol 121 c789W
Mr. Campbell-Savours

asked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) whether he will list each airport in the United Kingdom which accepts non-scheduled civil or scheduled civil airline traffic;

(2) whether he will list each airport in the United Kingdom which accepts scheduled airline traffic.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

Under article 71 of the Air Navigation Order 1985, most aircraft involved in scheduled or non-scheduled public transport of passengers in the United Kingdom are required to use an aerodrome licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority, a Government aerodrome, or one owned or managed by the authority. I am sending the hon. Member a list of such aerodromes, marked to show those from which scheduled services operated in October 1987. Copies will be placed in the Library. Information is not readily available to distinguish which aerodromes accept non-scheduled traffic.
