§ Mr. ChopeThere is no land over 1 acre in area in the Chelmsford borough council area belonging to Government Departments which is surplus to requirements. Some 91 acres (37 hectares) of such land is owned by the local authorities, nationalised industries and statutory undertakers, most of which is awaiting disposal.
