Mr. John DavidTaylor asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the total possible membership of the Southern health and social services area board; how many members presently serve on this board; how many members voted (a) for and (b) against the proposed new £2 million area board health headquarters at the board meeting this month; and how many of those who voted for this new headquarters are (i) elected councillors and (ii) non-elected persons nominated by him for board membership.
§ Mr. NeedhamThere are currently 24 places on the Southern health and social services board, one of which is vacant. At the October meeting of the board a proposal to rescind the decision taken in January to provide a new 605W headquarters building pending further information and discussion was defeated by five votes to seven. The votes of individual members were not recorded.
