§ Mr. David MitchellNo payments have been made from the rural transport development fund for schemes in Essex. Two applications are being considered at present by the Development Commission, for a community bus serving the Ongar area and a rural taxi-sharing scheme in the Rochford area. A further application is expected for a taxibus service in the Manningtree area. I welcome increasing interest in the assistance available from the £1 million fund of Department of Transport finance managed by the Development Commission.
