Mr. Redmond

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to the answer of 18 December 1986, Official Report, columns 612–13, when the final stage of the Government's review of the emergency plans and procedures in the event of a nuclear accident in the United Kingdom or abroad, following the accident at Chernobyl, will be complete; and if it is the Government's intention to place a copy of this review in the Library when it is available.

I refer the hon. Gentleman to the final paragraph of my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister's answer of 18 December 1986, in which she stated that a further statement would be issued when planning is complete.
