Mr. Rogers

asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what was the expenditure on providing (a) National Health Service residential and (b) other residential care for mentally ill people in Wales (i) in the years 1970 to 1975, (ii) in the years 1975 to 1980 and (iii) in the years 1980 to 1985 expressed in actual and in 1975 adjusted terms;

(2) what was the expenditure on providing community care for mentally ill people in Wales (a) in the years 1970 to 1975 (b) in the years 1975 to 1980 (c) in the years 1980 to 1985 expressed in actual and in 1975 adjusted terms.
