HC Deb 18 March 1987 vol 112 c541W
10. Mr. Redmond

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has received on South African incursions into and attacks against the People's Republic of Angola that have taken place since October 1986.

Mrs. Chalker

We have no record of receiving any representations. We have always condemned cross-border violence in southern Africa.

46. Mr. Eastham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on recent meetings between Her Majesty's Government and representatives of the Angolan Government.

Mrs. Chalker

The most recent ministerial level meetings with a representative of the Angolan Government took place in July 1986 when my right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Department of Energy, my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Department of Trade and Industry and myself had meetings with the Angolan Minister of Foreign Trade, Senor Ismael Martins, during his visit to the United Kingdom.
