§ 44. Mr. Yeoasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has any plans to provide further assistance to Tanzania in support of that country's economic reform programme.
§ Mr. Chris PattenI announced a further £25 million of British aid when I visited Tanzania last week. Of this, £12 million will be for capital projects; about £6 million for the railways sector; and the remainder for programme aid on condition that Tanzania remains in agreement with the International Monetary fund on the economic reform programme.
