§ 43. Mr. Temple-Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what has been Her Majesty's Government's response to the recent appeal by voluntary agencies for assistance with famine in Mozambique.
§ Mr. Chris PattenSo far in 1987 we have made available over £2.4 million to British voluntary agencies for relief programmes in Mozambique. We have also provided £660,000 for UNICEF'S operations in that country.
In addition, we contribute £3.5 million annually to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' general programmes, which include relief work in Mozambique.
