Mr. Dubs

asked the Lord Privy Seal how many copies of (a) the Standard and (b) the London Daily News are bought each day for the use of hon. Members.

Up to now 168 copies of theStandard, 24 copies of the London Daily News and 5 copies of the Evening News have been purchased by the Serjeant at Arms' Department for the use of Members. From 9 March the number of London Daily News to be taken is being increased to 39. These numbers are subject to review in the light of demand.

In addition, the Library takes each day two copies of the mid-day edition and four copies of the 6 pm edition of the Standard, and two copies of the first edition and four copies of the last edition of the London Daily News.
