HC Deb 09 March 1987 vol 112 cc73-4W
Mr. John Mark Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, pursuant to the answer given to the hon. Member for Newbury (Mr. McNair-Wilson) on 16 February, Official Report, column 509, concerning Family Forum, he will now give the same information in respect of the Family Trust.

Mrs. Currie

I understand that the National Family Trust is a new organisation whose aims are to conduct and disseminate applied research, practical education and to influence policy formulation for the benefit of family life in Britain. The trust has not applied to the Department for a grant under section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968, and thus we have had no opportunity to assess its activities for the purposes of evaluating the cost effectiveness of grant aiding the trust.
