§ Mr. NewtonThe information requested is given in the table. In 1979 only the first phase of the Queen's medical centre development was open. The second and larger phase was not completed until 1985. This development affected the local pattern of waiting lists. Waiting lists for the Nottingham district health authority as a whole were 8,327 at 31 December 1979 and 7,122 at 31 December 1986. In 1979 73,992 cases were treated in the district, compared to 98,352 in 1986.
