§ Mr. DunnThe figures requested are collected annually in October as part of the school meals census. The data are published and copies of the relevant reports are in the Library of the House. It was not possible to collect this information in October 1985. The results of the 1987 census will not be available until early 1988.

The annual school meals census for October 1986, a copy of which is in the Library, gives a breakdown of the number of kitchen and canteen staff; midday supervisors and other adults present on the day of the census. This information was not collected in previous years.
