§ Mr. Oppenheimasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he will issue for consultation the draft circular on the collection of ethnically based statistics on school pupils.
§ Mr. DunnThe draft circular has been issued for consultation today and copies have been placed in the Library. In addition, 4 local education authorities — Berkshire, Bradford, Cleveland and Wolverhampton— have been invited to set up pilot schemes for the collection of ethnically based statistics on school pupils during the academic year 1987–88.
