asked the Secretary of State for Defence which military jet aircraft are being deployed from Edinburgh airport in the course of military flying exercises; in what circumstances; and for how long.

The airfield at Edinburgh airport adjoining RAF Turnhouse provides diversion landing facilities for aircraft from RAF Leuchars. From time to time, various military aircraft also stage through Edinburgh en route to or from exercises elsewhere.
