asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will announce the remaining member of the Disablement Services Authority.

I previously announced on 29 June 1987 at column19 the appointment of seven further members of the Disablement Services Authority. I am delighted now to announce the appointment of Mr. Lewis Carter-Jones as a member of the Authority. I am sure that Mr. Carter-Jones, with his considerable experience of the problems associated with physical disability and his commitment to disabled people generally, will make a significant and worthwhile contribution to the authority.
