HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 c725W
Mr. Thurnham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many representations he has received about the planning appeal decision at Birtenshaw farm, Bolton; how many supported the decision; and if he will list these representations by categories to include businesses, local residents and public authorities.

Mr. Waldegrave

Representations about the appeal decision, or about the proposal to remove the covenant on the land, have been made by 333 local residents. They have also been made by the Birtenshaw Land Appeal Group, students at two local schools, the local Labour party and the local Civic Trust. None has been made by businesses or by public authorities, nor have any been made in support of the appeal decision.
