asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what is the cost of funding, through the British National Space Centre, of research in the field of high technology thermoplastics polymers for space structures; and over what period funding has been provided.

Funding of £79,222 (excluding VAT) has so far been provided through the British National Space Centre, and its predecessors, for research in the field of high technology thermoplastics polymers for space structures. This work commenced on 1 November 1984.
