HL Deb 23 July 1987 vol 488 cc1560-1WA
Lord Jenkins of Putney

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the developments reported in the News on Sunday on 12th July hold out hope of discovering who murdered Mrs. Hilda Murrell more than three years ago.

The Earl of Caithness

The investigation into the death of Mrs. Hilda Murrell is an operational matter for the police. However, I understand from the chief constable of West Mercia that detectives from his force intend to interview a man in connection with the case. It is not possible to assess in advance the contribution that the interview will make to their inquiries.
