§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe authorised establishment and actual strength of each police force in England and Wales as at 31 December 1986 are published in the report of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary for 1986 (appendix 7), and the number of notifiable offences recorded by each force is published in Home Office "Statistical Bulletin" issue number 4/87 (table 6), copies of which are in the Library.
