§ Mr. Michael Forsyth[pursuant to his reply, 22 July 1987]: In 1985–86, the latest year for which comparative figures are available, the Scottish ambulance service received 1.24 per cent. of total expenditure on the National Health Service in Scotland by comparison with 1.85 per cent. in England and 2.16 per cent. in Wales.
In the current financial year, the Scottish ambulance service will receive an estimated 1.35 per cent. of total expenditure.
