§ Mr. Peter BottomleyI have received the consultants' technical report on the feasibility of options for the western environmental improvement route. Arrangements are being made for it to be published as soon as possible.
137WCopies of the full report will be placed in libraries in the area of the proposed route when it is available. In the meantime I am arranging for a free summary to be issued.
We shall consider the report carefully. The consultants have more work to do before the Department decides which options to put forward for public consultation which is planned for next spring.
The Department will be continuing discussion with the boroughs and operators, in particular about the traffic management elements of the package.
