Mr. Graham

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how much has been spent by the Scottish development Agency in each year since 1979 in Renfrew, West and Inverclyde constituency; and what proportion of all spending by the agency this figure represents.

[pursuant to his reply, 10 July 1987]: As a result of changes in constituency boundaries information is only available from 1983–84. It is as follows.

1986–87 1,344,000 1.21

These figures represent annual expenditure on investments, land and buildings, environmental development grants and development planning and projects. Agency expenditure under the following categories is not allocated on a constituency basis: Maintenance, dilapidations, estate land maintenance, security, land marketing signs, fire and engineering insurances. Land and building, plant and equipment, notice boards, owner controlled insurance, gas, water and electricity supplies, feasibility studies and surveys.
