§ Mr. Lang[pursuant to his reply, 10 July 1987]: Information given to the department of Employment under the redundancy handling provisions of the Employment Protection Act are given in confidence and because of this a detailed breakdown cannot be given for the years 1979 to 1981. The details are not in precisely the form requested, but relate to the number of closures involving 10 or more workers confirmed to jobcentres covering areas wholly or partly within the constituency.
