Mr. Spearing

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will state the respective dates from which he has reappointed the chairman and five other members of the London Docklands Development Corporation until 31 October; and if he will make a statement concerning the relevant periods of reappointment.

Mr. Trippier

The chairman and four members of the London Docklands Development Corporation board were reappointed on 2 July. The chief executive was reappointed as a member on 7 July. These four-month extensions were designed to give my Department an opportunity to review the composition of the entire board.

Mr. Spearing

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will tabulate in the Official Report the parcels of land vested by Order in-Council in the London Docklands Development Corporation; and for each state the date of vesting, the area in hectares and acres, the previous owner, the principal purposes for which each is now in use; and, where this is housing, the approximate number of rented or owner-occupied dwellings.
