§ Mr. WaldegraveThe latest available information on the number of households on housing waiting lists is for April 1986 and it was provided by English local authorities in their 1986 housing investment programme returns: the figures appear in column B51 of the "HIP1 (1986) All items print" which is in the Library. Unfortunately, information is not available centrally on the number of applicants on the waiting lists of more than one authority.
