§ 55. Mr. Amessasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he has as to how many new houses have been built by the Basildon Development Corporation/New Towns Commission, and how many by Basildon council, in Basildon in each of the last five years.
§ Mrs. RoeThe reported numbers of dwellings completed in Basildon for the district council and for the development corporation or the New Towns Commission in 1982 and 1983 appear in issue 73 of "Local Housing Statistics", and those in 1984 in issue 77 and those in 1985 and 1986 in issue 81: copies of these volumes are available in the Library. When issue 77 was published, reports had been received from the district council only for the first seven months of 1984; subsequently returns, for the other five months have been received and the completions for the council in the full year numbered 193.
