§ Mr. CopeThe level of inspection and examination at the Sellafield complex is adequate to ensure the safety of the public and site personnel. The large concentration of effort during the Sellafield audit diverted some resources from assessment work and routine inspection. Any interruption of routine inspection was outweighed by the benefits arising from increased surveillance during the audit.
